Barry joined RK Junior in 2019. Building on a diverse career in IT, tech support, real estate investing, consulting, marketing, and sales, Barry was instrumental in growing RK Junior to a place where it is now the preeminent name in Nashville luxury custom homes. Barry works closely with Ron to ensure clients are experiencing a rewarding, fun, transparent, and interactive custom homebuilding experience.

A Background in Real Estate Development, Investment, and Entrepreneurship

A 2005 graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University with degrees in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems, Barry worked for several years in tech support and IT for medical centers, hotels, and luxury condos in Nashville. Seeking to fulfill a lifelong goal to help others achieve their real estate ambitions, Barry began studying real estate in 2008 and offering investment consulting in 2012. In 2019, Barry was instrumental in advising Ron on an investment parcel that RK Junior purchased and developed into a luxury spec home. Shortly after, Barry came on as an employee in order to lend his real estate expertise to Nashville’s best custom home builder.

In his day-to-day work, Barry is deeply involved in analyzing properties, whether they’re vacant parcels, potential tear-downs, or re-zoning prospects. Often the first one on the phone with a new client, Barry works closely with RK Junior clients to assess real estate and see which parcel would be ideal for a client’s dream custom home. Barry draws on his extensive real estate investing and management background to acquire the right parcels that will serve as the foundation for the next RK Junior custom home.

Looking to the future, Barry hopes to use his resources and knowledge to offer free financial coaching to disadvantaged youths.
